Get a Clue

Hey everybody. Well I had a great time camping and I did take a few pictures. I'll post them when I find my camera. I kinda lost it in my van. The fresh air really did me good. I've got a rough outline done for the second half of my comic. Now to just script it.

Long Hot Summer

Yes. Yes. I know it has been a while since I posted. I've been a bit busy though getting my family stuff in order. I've now got 2 kids in school. Only one more to go.

Right now I am trying to get ready to go camping. So this is a very short post to say nothing much at all. Yeah, I got nothing for ya. Sorry. Maybe if you're all nice I might post some pictures next time. So, I'm going to go and get the van packed. I need to go swimming in the river and enjoy the warm glow of campfires. I can't wait to see what I write about tonight. I am hoping to use this trip as research for the comic I am writing.

I am going to have fun and I hope you all have fun this weekend too.

Ask me why

I am about ready to kill all men. So If you're a guy and you don't want to be on my hit list you better give me a good goddamn reason to spare your life. I am so sick of my husbands drama. I swear its like living with a teenage girl. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

OK I'm a little better. Talk to you later.

Fake a Smile

Well I didn't get as much done today as I wanted. It seems that everyone thought today was the perfect day to call or come over. I swear if one more person calls I'll scream. I know that I'll get more done tomorrow. Pam has gymnastics again. So I'll get another hour to work.

I was watching
I love the quirky humor.

Ain't got me

And work begins. Alright Now that I've had a nice fun weekend it is time to buckle down and work again. I should be able to get a lot of work done tomorrow. My daughter has gymnastics so I'll have an hour to work for sure. I'll just grab a nice latte, listen to some music and write like crazy. I am planning on getting as much work as I can done this week and next week. Because the artist I might be working with will be able to start working on this in 2 weeks. So I really want to get as much done as I can.

I am hoping to go to ........
this weekend. I am not sure if I will be able to go but I am going to try. There are some performers that will be there I'd like to check out. Anyway I am in need of a drink. I'll talk to ya all later.

This is just a modern rock song

There was a lot of different things going on at the festival I'm not sure what to talk about.

There was the giraffe woman. She kinda scared me though. She just kept walking around the grounds. She was also making weird noises every once and a while. Let me tell you when you turn around and there she is a few feet away pointing her front hoof thing at you. It can make anyone jump back a little. I wasn't bothered by the outfit or even the stilts. I thought that was cool and took some skill to walk around in them. It was her bizarre facial expressions that bugged me. She had a very creepy smile most of the time and that just freaked me out.

Then there was the Verve Pipe. The whole reason I went to the festival. To say they were great would be an understatement. The show was a high energy explosion as usual even though it was hotter than hell. I got to talk with them after the show. Which was the highlight for me. They are still the best and friendliest group of guys you'll ever meet. Bonus they remembered me. Yea!! My daughter got her picture taken with her favorite singer ever. Brian VanderArk was very sweet with her as was everyone else. You can see more photos from the show at my flicker site.

We walked around a little more and listened to Toad the Wet Sprocket. The day was very energizing for me and I left that night in a great mood. So now I am working on my writing again. And yes I am still working on the comic. It has been a very busy weekend, but I needed it.

The Wild Ones

I had an amazing time yesterday at the Festival of the River. I am so glad I was persistent and demanded that we went. The rain stopped shortly after getting in the van and held off all day and night. It took me just under an hour to drive up to Arlington where the festival was being held. It was fairly easy to find though, they had marked it very well. Before the Verve Pipe show we wondered around the tent area. Dear god you need to bring a empty cart just for all the free stuff you get. If anyone is in need of a new water bottle let me know. I think we have like 10 of 'em. This stress reliever makes me laugh. I think I know that guy. I've got a couple of these as well.

UPDATE I was going through the bags of crap we got and realised that there were 5 different ones. So to be fair to all of them here you go. Side note, I can't decide which is my favorite.

And I was amazed that we were all lucky enough to see the Marijuana Fairy....
Yes that is marijuana leaves around her. I just kept wondering if anyone tried to smoke her?

I'll post more about the day including some great shots of the band later. Mommy stuff calls so I'm off to gymnastics.

Swing, swing

Well. I was happy to be wrong. We did make it to the BBQ and we had a lot of fun. There was good food, fun friends and goats to chase the kids. Even I shook my head at that. Right now I am trying to convince the hubby to go to the Verve Pipe show today. But he says that he is tired and it's starting to rain. I counter with we live in Seattle. It's aways starting to rain. But that's not getting me anywhere. I am still planning on going even if the rain doesn't let up. I love these guys. And its a FREE show. So it's worth getting a little wet.

Harmony in my head

I had a really great time last night. Whiskey sours, good music and a mechanical bull. What else do you need? I was a naughty girl though. I did drink a little too much. Honestly it wasn't my fault though. There was this really cute girl who kept refilling my glass with her Lynchburg lemonade. And well when a cute girl is trying so hard to get me drunk what else can I do but let her. I did get a nice little wiggle, some fun loving rubbing and a kiss. Oh well, being naughty is just to damn much fun anyway. And so is that bull. I did get her e-mail addy but not her name. Hmm. Oh well.

Not much to report on the comic today. I have been on the road most of the morning and we are supposed to be going up to Lake Stevens this afternoon for a BBQ. Although I am thinking that that plan isn't going to happen because Jaime is napping. Ahhh the advantage of never having a hangover. I love me sometimes.

Time stands still

I am booking right along with my comic. This is a lot of fun now that I have a clear vision of what I want to have happen to my two characters. I even have someone who really wants to do the art for me. Only problem is he is in Salt Lake, UT and I'm in Seattle, WA. Not a major problem with Internet and all.

I am a busy girl though. I am getting ready to go out with my husband tonight. We are heading down to Tacoma tonight to hang with some friends. It should be fun. We are getting a night away from the kids. Just need to figure out how to get my work done while we are out without pissing off the husband. Hmmm. I just don't see that happening.

I Know Where The Summer Goes

The day has come. Mark it on your calenders. I have decided on 1 project to devote my time. I am actively working on a script for a comic right now. I think it is the funnest thing ever, but then again I should. I'm writing it. I have even got someone who might be interested in doing the art for me. He just needs to see if he can fit it in his schedule. So from now.... until I change my mind again...I'm comic bound.

I went to the Comic Stop today and Brian had pulled Have You Seen The Horizon Lately? by Jamie S. Rich. Brian knows me so well. And he should I am in there every Thursday bugging him to order stuff for me. I have so many things to read and not enough time to read. And yet I keep buying more books. If you want to see what I've read, am reading or will be reading you can find me at goodreads.com

Footloose and Fancy Free

Wow another post already. Count 'em 2 posts in 2 days. I think I need to lie down. Before I do that, I thought you all would like to know I am working really hard on one of my projects. I don't want to say much about it because I usually completely redo things a few times before I'm happy. I am having fun with this writing project though.

I am also looking forward to going to a Verve Pipe show on sunday. I love those guys. I always leave their shows in a great mood.

I just don't know what to do with myself

I am back after a long hiatus. I have been going through a lot personally and have not had any time to write. But that all changes today. I am determined to get back to what I love and no one will stop me. Although I admit I am the one who usually stops me.

I was watching one of my favorite movies the othernight...
I have fallen in love with this movie. I just can't get enough. Anyway, I was watching this the other day and I decided that I would just go for what I want. Well I'll leave you for now to get some writing done on my story.
