Get a Clue

Hey everybody. Well I had a great time camping and I did take a few pictures. I'll post them when I find my camera. I kinda lost it in my van. The fresh air really did me good. I've got a rough outline done for the second half of my comic. Now to just script it.

Long Hot Summer

Yes. Yes. I know it has been a while since I posted. I've been a bit busy though getting my family stuff in order. I've now got 2 kids in school. Only one more to go.

Right now I am trying to get ready to go camping. So this is a very short post to say nothing much at all. Yeah, I got nothing for ya. Sorry. Maybe if you're all nice I might post some pictures next time. So, I'm going to go and get the van packed. I need to go swimming in the river and enjoy the warm glow of campfires. I can't wait to see what I write about tonight. I am hoping to use this trip as research for the comic I am writing.

I am going to have fun and I hope you all have fun this weekend too.

Ask me why

I am about ready to kill all men. So If you're a guy and you don't want to be on my hit list you better give me a good goddamn reason to spare your life. I am so sick of my husbands drama. I swear its like living with a teenage girl. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

OK I'm a little better. Talk to you later.

Fake a Smile

Well I didn't get as much done today as I wanted. It seems that everyone thought today was the perfect day to call or come over. I swear if one more person calls I'll scream. I know that I'll get more done tomorrow. Pam has gymnastics again. So I'll get another hour to work.

I was watching
I love the quirky humor.

Ain't got me

And work begins. Alright Now that I've had a nice fun weekend it is time to buckle down and work again. I should be able to get a lot of work done tomorrow. My daughter has gymnastics so I'll have an hour to work for sure. I'll just grab a nice latte, listen to some music and write like crazy. I am planning on getting as much work as I can done this week and next week. Because the artist I might be working with will be able to start working on this in 2 weeks. So I really want to get as much done as I can.

I am hoping to go to ........
this weekend. I am not sure if I will be able to go but I am going to try. There are some performers that will be there I'd like to check out. Anyway I am in need of a drink. I'll talk to ya all later.

This is just a modern rock song

There was a lot of different things going on at the festival I'm not sure what to talk about.

There was the giraffe woman. She kinda scared me though. She just kept walking around the grounds. She was also making weird noises every once and a while. Let me tell you when you turn around and there she is a few feet away pointing her front hoof thing at you. It can make anyone jump back a little. I wasn't bothered by the outfit or even the stilts. I thought that was cool and took some skill to walk around in them. It was her bizarre facial expressions that bugged me. She had a very creepy smile most of the time and that just freaked me out.

Then there was the Verve Pipe. The whole reason I went to the festival. To say they were great would be an understatement. The show was a high energy explosion as usual even though it was hotter than hell. I got to talk with them after the show. Which was the highlight for me. They are still the best and friendliest group of guys you'll ever meet. Bonus they remembered me. Yea!! My daughter got her picture taken with her favorite singer ever. Brian VanderArk was very sweet with her as was everyone else. You can see more photos from the show at my flicker site.

We walked around a little more and listened to Toad the Wet Sprocket. The day was very energizing for me and I left that night in a great mood. So now I am working on my writing again. And yes I am still working on the comic. It has been a very busy weekend, but I needed it.

The Wild Ones

I had an amazing time yesterday at the Festival of the River. I am so glad I was persistent and demanded that we went. The rain stopped shortly after getting in the van and held off all day and night. It took me just under an hour to drive up to Arlington where the festival was being held. It was fairly easy to find though, they had marked it very well. Before the Verve Pipe show we wondered around the tent area. Dear god you need to bring a empty cart just for all the free stuff you get. If anyone is in need of a new water bottle let me know. I think we have like 10 of 'em. This stress reliever makes me laugh. I think I know that guy. I've got a couple of these as well.

UPDATE I was going through the bags of crap we got and realised that there were 5 different ones. So to be fair to all of them here you go. Side note, I can't decide which is my favorite.

And I was amazed that we were all lucky enough to see the Marijuana Fairy....
Yes that is marijuana leaves around her. I just kept wondering if anyone tried to smoke her?

I'll post more about the day including some great shots of the band later. Mommy stuff calls so I'm off to gymnastics.
