The Circus Is Leaving Town

I've been missing lately because of a huge change happening really soon. My family and I are moving. My lovely hubby got the call from his boss that we are to be in Portland, OR as of the first of August. Needless to say this is causing all sorts of drama around here. So if you don't hear from me for a while its all because I am going insane.

4th Time Around

Alright. Yes, I know I've gone MIA over the past month. I have a very good reason though.

No, I'm not telling just yet.

My lovely hubby took a new job. Just a few weeks after taking the job, rumors are flying around that he may get transferred to Portland. We looked at the paperwork he signed and sure enough he was hired by the Portland plant. He works at the Monroe, WA plant right now. The idea doesn't bug me much that we might move to Portland. I've liked what I've seen of the city so far. I'm just real sick of moving. Since I have been with Jaime, we seem to move every 2 years. We have been together for about 14 years and if this move to Portland happens it will be the 7th move.

Anyway, I just have to wait and see what happens. No use worrying about it now.

I have bigger things to keep me busy. For those who know me they may have guessed from the title of this blog yes I am pregnant again. That's why I've been missing as of late. It is hard to type when you are either passed out or running to the bathroom every 10 min.

I went to ECCC . I had fun. My hubby did not. I really don't get why he goes to these things when he has such a horrible time. I'll try to post pictures later

Day Tripper

I've noticed something lately. I go to Portland a lot. I am on my way there in a few minutes. The Portland Comic Book Show is today. So of course I am heading down there. My hubby is only going so he can go to Buffalo Wild Wings. Portland is the closest one to us.

We couldn't get a babysitter so all three kids are going with us. This should be fun.

I am getting a lot of work done on a short story that I'm writing. I still have awhile before the May deadline so this makes me very happy. My other project has taken a back seat for the moment while I get this done. I will get back to it soon. I hope.

Inspiration comes from the strangest of places. I was goofing off online and then it hit me. I knew what story to write.

Saturday Night Divas

Hi there. I went out tonight with my lovely hubby. I took him to The Castle. We had a bit of fun. I had a couple of drinks. The Blue Smurf was very tasty. I danced and flirted a little. This guy Steve couldn't keep his hands off of my breasts. It is a bit annoying when you are trying to dance. Jaime got bored and wanted to leave early then he complained about me buying shoes. I haven't bought shoes since Nov. I just don't get him sometimes.

Endless

I have had a very busy weekend. Not all of it has been fun.

To start off, Pam had a birthday party to go to at the mall. (insert screams of horror here) The mall on a Saturday afternoon is hell. No joke. The party was at Build A Bear. I almost made a groundhog for myself. It just looked too cute. After the party we had to go get her dad and brother.

Aaron had a basketball game I missed due to the party going over. Aaron’s team lost, by a lot. They still haven't won a game this season. Aaron doesn't seem to care.

Then I went to Rosa Allred's baby shower. That was really fun. I normally hate baby showers, but this one didn't have stupid baby games. I even walked out of it with a nice bag of goodies.

When I arrived home, Jaime decided he was going to take me out to dinner and a movie. This I like. I really wasn't in the mood to cook dinner after all the running around and cake. We went to Red Lobster and Best Buy. I love Best Buy. I bought a few things I really shouldn't have, but oh well.

We ended up seeing The Eye. I wish we would have seen something else. Jaime and I both have a thing for Jessica Alba. That’s why we saw it.

The movie is about Sydney(Alba) a blind violinist. She is given the chance to see again after undergoing a corneal transplant. While Sydney adjusts to her surroundings, she is terrorized by visions of death. With the help of a reluctant doctor, Sydney sets out to discover whose eyes she has received and what the visions are trying to tell her.

The movie was OK. I just wish I would have waited for it to come out on video. The acting was not very good, everyone seemed bored or very tired. Also the story took forever to get moving. This was a remake of the Hong Kong film "Jian Gui". I am planning on watching Jian Gui.

My List

I am framing today. I finally went out and bought a bunch of frames for stuff I got last year at different comic shows. Honestly, I did not realize I bought so much stuff.


I also need to put up a few shelves and get a better bookcase for all my books I have yet to read.


I really shouldn't go to the Comic Stop today, but I will. Besides, I haven't talked to Brian in a couple of weeks.

The Life

I have been very busy with a few different things lately. One of which is the story that has hijacked my thoughts since Christmas. I have been working on it whenever I have had a moment to sit down and write. Another thing I have been doing is purging the massive amounts of clutter from my home. Dear God, I have a ton of shit I do not need.

This past week I celebrated my 11 year wedding anniversary. How have we stayed together this long? Luck or laziness? I am not sure.

This was mailed to me this morning. I laughed. I admit it. It is just so true. Since I moved here a little over a year ago, I have yet to buy sunblock.

Friday Night

I have had a very busy weekend. To start off, Friday night I went to see Sweeney Todd. I have always loved this musical so I was a bit worried.

I should have known that Johnny Depp would do a great job as the demon barber. I was laughing so much that my hubby kept telling me to be quite. I just looked around at all the others laughing and shook my head.



Then on Saturday, we went to see The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything with all three kids. They all had a great time. Even Anthony, the youngest, enjoyed himself. I was very surprised at how well behaved he was.


I may never be able to eat cheese curls again.

Then last night I was able to go to an advanced screening of U2 3D. I took the bus down to Pikes Place Market. Supricingly, I was able to get some writing done on the bus. Now the trick is trying to read what I wrote.

I was trying to go to a couple of shops there but I did not know that every thing closes at 6pm. I arrived at 6:05. To say I was mad would be an understatement. So I decided to explore a little. I had over an hour before I was to meet up with Jaime at the Pacific Science Center. I walked there. It was a fun little walk. I got called a whore by a very strange man. A guy who was waiting at the same corner as me said he didn't think I looked like a whore. I thanked him.


Once I meet up with Jaime we went in to get our seats for the show. For those not aware the movie is an IMAX 3D experience. The movie itself is a full concert.




The 2D trailer does not do it justice. It was a lot of fun.

I did not get writing done last night. I kinda knew I wouldn't. I did try though. I hope to get something done today but I have Cub Scouts and Basketball today.


At Cub Scouts we are decorating a dragon for next months Blue and Gold Banquet. Our theme is Chinese new year. This could be funny.


In the spirit of The Year Of The Rat. My friend and I are using an audio book to learn Chinese. It has been really fun so far. I am learning so much. I can now say pirate in Chinese. Not sure when that will come in handy but hey.

People around here are just plain stupid. You get a little bit of snow and they all freak out.

I had a busy day of cleaning and running around today. Not a lot accomplished as far as writing goes. I am hoping to get some done tonight. But I doubt that will happen.

Hello there

I hate my computer. It is trying to foil my writing. I am sure it is. That and it won't let me on the Internet for long. My hubby says that he will fix my desktop computer this weekend. I'm not holding my breath.

I was planning to review a book I read. I'm not doing that today. You'll have to wait until next week. Sorry. I have been very busy trying to get things in order around the house.

Anyway, Pam is going on a daddy daughter date tonight. The boys and I have pizza on our minds. I am going to try and get some writing done tonight.
